My stay at Silent River Cottage was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the owner and his family with a refreshing drink. The cottages were beautiful, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities like A/C and hot water showers. The owner went above and beyond, offering complimentary tuktuk rides to explore the nearby village and local attractions. One highlight of my stay was the unforgettable elephant safari in Udawalawe National Park, which the owner organized for me with a knowledgeable guide. The meals prepared by the owner's wife were delicious and authentic, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. The family's warm and welcoming atmosphere made saying goodbye difficult, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this lovely accommodation.

The location was perfect for our safari experience, with a serene river nearby. The staff treated us like family, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and even organizing our safari and transfer to our next destination.

I recently stayed at Silent River Cottage for a few days and had a fantastic time. The hotel is new and modern with excellent facilities. The rooms are beautifully furnished and equipped with AC and a gorgeous bathroom featuring a double rain shower and double hand-held shower. The host family is incredibly friendly and always available to fulfill any request. The food at the hotel was absolutely incredible, some of the best meals I've ever had in Sri Lanka. The location near the river provided a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. a cozy and safe place to stay with great hospitality.

There were too many flies around the dining area, making it difficult to enjoy meals. There were no other food options or shops within walking or tuk-tuk distance, limiting food choices.
